Based out of its state of the art, 100-acre breeding farm in East Ontario, Canadream has the knowledge, experience, and facilities to assist its clients with all aspects of the breeding process. Among the extensive amenities at Canadream: 31 stalls, a sizeable riding arena, six pastures and extensive turnout fields, a round pen, exerciser, and stallion paddock. On the breeding side, the newly updated facilities include a spacious stallion collection room, a mare inspection room for breeding and embryo transfer (ET) procedures, and a well-equipped lab room.
In addition to custom breedings of its own mares and stallions, Canadream is pleased to offer a range of services for its clients. These include stallion training on the phantom, lab testing (extender and longevity) of fresh semen, and stallion board as well as drive-in stallion collection. On the mare side, Canadream offers foaling board, breeding (either cool or fresh), and ET through the farm’s vet, with a limited number of recipient ET mares available for lease.
In 2019, the farm also added a Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)-approved, three-stall quarantine barn, with accommodations for foals, geldings, mares, and stallions. Clients benefit from Canadream’s extensive quarantine offerings which, in addition to daily care, include managing all scheduling and paperwork necessary for vet appointments and CFIA inspections, providing the test mares required for stallion import, and more. The goal: using Canadream’s knowledge and experience to provide clients with a fully comprehensive, worry-free experience, from the moment their new horse is unloaded from the trailer, until the end of their quarantine.
